Localization of EFA6A, a guanine nucleotide exchange factor for ARF6, in spermatogenic cells of testes of adult mice.

摘要: ADP ribosylation factors (ARFs) of small GTPase are molecular switches regulating various membrane dynamics. Among them, ARF6 has recently been highlighted because its function to facilitate the interaction between cytoskeleton and plasma membrane. Each ARFs preferable or even specific guanine nucleotide exchange (GEFs) as activators. According our previous RT-PCR analysis, EFA6A, a factor for ARF6, was restrictedly expressed in brain, retina testis. Different from studies on neurons, first shown be localized intensely nuclei spermatocytes adult mouse testes present immunohistochemical study. This suggests possible involvement EFA6A-ARF6 signaling karyokinesis cytokinesis.
