摘要: A high infant mortality rate (IMR) indicates a failure to meet people’s healthcare needs. The IMR in Lao People’s Democratic Republic has been decreasing but still remains high. This study aimed identify the factors involved by analyzing data from 53,727 live births and 2189 women 2017 Social Indicator Survey. estimated decreased 191 per 1000 1978–1987 39 2017. difference between neonatal had declined since 1978 did not change after 2009. Factors associated with all three models (forced-entry, forward-selection, backward-selection) of multivariate logistic regression analyses were auxiliary nurses as birth attendants compared doctors, male infants, small size average women; 1–3 antenatal care visits four visits, postnatal baby checks, being pregnant at interview 1950 whose infants’ was or large. Maternal child family planning should be strengthened including upgrading mid-level improving quality.
