摘要: A simple technique, applicable to general purpose marine navigation, and utilizing navigation data from satellites is presented. single position fix requires only a means of receiving interpreting data, using specially prepared table or graph, employing conventional charts plotting procedures. No automatic computation required. It assumed that navigator has an priori estimate position, however crude, access tables graphs which provide transmission time as function satellite altitude great circle distance subsatellite point user. It also the signal received contains information on location transmittal. After drawing line azimuth estimated geographic chart determining corresponding distance, may be obtained then used synchronize receiver oscillator roughly calibrate system. Then two parallel lines constructed; one through normal second displaced by fixed increment. Using this synchronization calibration similar drawn with respect other satellites. Diagonals resultant parallelograms are straight-line approximations hyperbolic since they correspond loci constant range differences. Intersections improved position. Preliminary analysis indicates measurement resolution part in 106 will yield within nautical mile. Other sources error, such atmospheric uncertainties construction errors contribute error. An iterative procedure reduce bias directly related initial
