摘要: The purpose of this study was to prepare monodisperse gelatin microcapsules containing an active agent using microchannel (MC) emulsification, a novel technique for preparing water-in-oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions. As the first step in applying MC emulsification preparation microcapsules, simple microbeads were prepared technique. A W/O emulsion with narrow size distribution aqueous phase created as follows. First, disperse fed into continuous through MCs at 40°C (operating pressure: 3.9 kPa). droplets had average particle diameter 40.7 μm relative standard deviation 5.1%. temperature collected reduced maintained 25°C overnight. smooth surface after overnight gelation; calculated be 31.6 μm, deviation, 7.3%. then lowered 5°C by rapid air cooling finally dried. beads dried could resuspended well iso-octane. 15.6 5.9%. Using we able distribution. Since requires only low-energy input, it may create desirable experimental conditions microencapsulation unstable substances such peptides proteins. This method is promising making microbeads.
