摘要: Glass fiber reinforced hollow epoxy macrospheres (GFR-HEMS) and glass microspheres (HGMS) were used to prepare a three phase syntactic foam (ESF) in this study. An innovative “rolling ball method” was implemented the preparation of GFR-HEMS where expanded polystyrene (EPS) beads as an initiation template. The EPS coated with resin using method”, these later cured post-cured at high temperature which caused shrink thus producing macrosphere structure. effects volume fraction GFR-HMES, wall thickness HGMS on compressive properties discussed find comprehensive understanding structure–property relationship between matrix sphere fillers. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that can make fibers form spherical x–y network throughout wall, ESF have great strength.
