摘要: Despite the rapidly decreasing cost and increasing throughput of next-generation sequencing technologies, deep targeted resequencing has maintained its importance in sensitive detection mutations by focusing only on targets biomedical or clinical relevance. In this chapter, we review current as well emerging technologies that enable capture specific elements from a sample. particular, focus cancer research. To date, research community sequenced over 2,500 samples 17 different tissue types whole-exome resequencing. addition, clinically relevant such known genes cancer-associated miRNAs viruses have been selectively technologies. We expect use will soon become standard analysis method, turn further technological developments allow for improved extraction genetic components be adopted.
