摘要: Previously we showed that a substantially misaligned viscous accretion disk with pressure orbits around one component of binary system can undergo global damped Kozai–Lidov (KL) oscillations. These oscillations produce periodic exchanges the eccentricity inclination. The KL mechanism is quite robust and operates over wide range parameters. However, effects self-gravity, which are expected to suppress for sufficiently massive disks, were ignored. Here, analyze self-gravity by means hydrodynamic simulations compare results expectations analytic theory. mass required suppression in few percent central star this roughly agrees an analytical estimate. conditions close requiring be gravitationally unstable.
