摘要: Abstract Indirect evidence from trapping suggests that Crocidura russula is less solitary and territorial than other shrews. To study the social organization mating system, free-ranging adult juvenile C. were tracked simultaneously throughout year using a radioactive tracking technique. Coincident rest, coincident activity home range overlap measured. During winter, all individuals used same communal nest spent on average 84% of their total rest in rest. This led to large (52% average). was low (2% At onset reproductive season females became, shared with only one male. pair formation, significantly greater between within sexes. The appeared be strongly influenced by differed this respect species genus Sorex which are year.
