摘要: Abstract The role of an applied electric field during the densification ionic ceramics is still being debated. Here we describe how polarization a dielectric material contributes to strengths at particle surfaces and interfaces initial stage sintering. Using numerical models, it shown that significant increases in local can be expected neck formation continue, with decreasing contribution, through approximately half first achievable common commercial custom lab-scale assisted sintering systems are found comparable those which fields have been enhance behavior ceramics.
