摘要: Subjective estimates of the angiographic severity coronary artery stenoses show variability and inaccuracy. We therefore tested accuracy a newly developed computerized image analysis system for quantitating vessel diameter from cineangiograms. Fourteen cylindrical phantoms known were filled with contrast medium filmed over wide range clinically relevant radiographic conditions in order to develop regression equations that related computer-derived anatomic diameters. Computer measurements unaffected by size, magnification, focal spot thickness scattering medium, kilovolt peak, or location within field, but correction factor was necessary small significant (p less than .01) linear dependence on concentration. The ranged between +/- 59 137 mu all except rapid motion concentrations 50% meglumine diatrizoate (Renografin 76), both which resulted reduced as well inability locate lumen edges vessels 1 mm diameter.
