摘要: The present work studied the effect of extracts from tissue culture-derived callus and leaf saltmarsh plant, Sesuvium portulacastrum L. on synthesis antimicrobial silver nanoparticles using AgNO(3) as a substrate. extract could be able to produce nanoparticles, better than extract. was confirmed with X-ray diffraction spectrum which exhibited intense peaks, corresponding (1 1 1), (2 0 0), 2 (3 2) sets lattice planes silver. incubated showed gradual change in color yellowish brown, intensity increasing during period incubation. Control without nitrate did not show any color. synthesized were generally found spherical shape variable size ranging 5 20 nm, evident by Transmission Electron Microscopy. There prominent peaks amide I, II III indicating presence protein, revealed Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy measurement. also that aromatic rings, geminal methyls ether linkages, flavones terpenoids responsible for stabilization nanoparticles. observed inhibit clinical strains bacteria fungi. antibacterial activity more distinct antifungal activity. enhanced when polyvinyl alcohol added stabilizing agent. highlighted possibility coastal species
