摘要: SUMMARY This paper proposed a methodology to estimate rear-end crash potential of the merging vehicles traveling in merge lane, on basis traffic data extracting from available videotapes. First, we developed binary logit model identify drivers' behavior work zone area. Subsequently, occurrence based time-to-collision was computed between vehicle and its neighboring vehicles. The overall finally determined. It found that decreases with remaining distance zone. Moreover, there will be 4.0% if fails complete at end If takes an early merge, lower (1.2%).
