Adult idiopathic pulmonary haemosiderosis: A comparison of lung function changes and the distribution of pulmonary disease in patients with and without coeliac disease

摘要: Seven patients with idiopathic pulmonary haemosiderosis were investigated chest radiographs, function tests, computed axial tomograms, and isotope ventilation perfusion scans. Three of the had coeliac disease (CD) a fourth an abnormal small bowel mucosa under dissecting microscope which was normal histologically. Five showed airflow limitation low transfer coefficient. these air trapping, two whom hyperinflation lungs, third total lung capacity at upper limit normal. Two central distribution radiographic opacities, other five changes throughout fields. The presence or absence CD no relationship to findings.
