摘要: Bamboo strips [10 cm × 1.5 (1−1.5) mm] were treated with caustic solutions for 1 h at different concentrations e.g., 0, 10, 15, 20, and 25%. reinforced polyester resin composites fabricated by hand-lay-up technique using both alkali-treated untreated bamboo strips, a room temperature curing system the resin. This study aims evaluation of influence concentration on mechanical properties constant 50% loading reinforcement. Maximum improvement in property was achieved possibly 20% strip reinforcements. Beyond 20%, there degradation all strength because failure reinforcements itself. The effect fiber variation upon also studied. It observed that superior obtained 60% filler loading. © 2009 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J Appl Polym Sci,
