Hydrothermal Synthesis of NdIII Doped Bi2Se3 Nanoflowers and their Physical Properties

摘要: Luminescent Bi2–xNdxSe3 nanoplates and nanoflowers were prepared by a hydrothermal co‐reduction method. XRD patterns indicate that the Bi2–xNdxSe3 crystals with 0–10 mol‐% Nd3+ are isostructural with Bi2Se3. Preferential nucleation and growth of the synthesised Bi2–xNdxSe3 has been observed along a certain plane. SEM shows morphology changes upon doping of Nd3+ ions into bismuth sites from separate nano‐plates to nano‐flowers.
