摘要: Combined positron-emission tomography and computed (PET-CT) has taken the oncological world by storm since being introduced into clinical domain in early 21(st) century is firmly established management pathway of many different tumour types. Non-oncological applications PET-CT represent a smaller but steadily growing area interest. continues to be focus large number research studies keeping up-to-date with literature important represents challenge. Consequently guidelines recommending usage need revised regularly encompass new developments. The purpose this article twofold: first, it provides detailed review evidence-base underpinning major uses practice, which may value wide-range individuals, including those directly involved much larger group limited exposure, for whom precis current state-of-play help inform other radiology multidisciplinary team (MDT) work; second as companion on evidence-based indications UK (being published concurrently) providing commentary summary emerging data supporting these additional technique.
