摘要: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) with fluorodeoxyglucose were used to study the size shape of corpus callosum in 20 patients unipolar depressive disorder 16 normal controls. An automated algorithm outlined divided it into quarters. The anterior posterior quarters larger depressed than controls, findings similar most earlier MRI studies schizophrenics. patient-normal difference was more marked females males. PET glucose metabolic values higher thinner or smaller callosums. presence sex differences makes future controlling body age important.
