摘要: Lipophilin B mRNA is overexpressed in ∼70% of breast tumors and shows a high degree correlation with the expression profile mammaglobin. This further supported by recent finding that, like other members secretoglobulin–uteroglobin family, mammaglobin lipophilin form heteroduplex. The studies described show that there are pre-existing antibodies to peptide sera cancer patients different stages grade tumor this response from seen recombinant native mammaglobin–lipophilin complex. highest titers were observed later stage tumors. In addition, low levels antibody also some prostate ovarian cancers, consistent these at lower abundance than contrast, absent 20 healthy donor 30 lung sera. A polymorphism identified did not appear influence human reactivity. data indicate humoral immune responses may serve as diagnostic indicator, particularly for cancer.
