Pressure‐Scanned Fermi Resonance in the Spectrum of NH4+ Isolated in CsBr

摘要: By using sample pressures up to 50 kbar at a temperature of 100°K, two energy levels the same symmetry in NH4+ CsBr vibrational system have been scanned through region maximum Fermi resonance, (i.e., “cross‐over” region). This experiment shows unambiguously observed results continuously varying coupling between resonating levels. Not only do these afford an improved insight into phenomenon resonance itself, but they also illustrate value pressure scanning as means resolving detailed interpretational difficulties.
