摘要: Fatty-acid-induced endoplasmic reticulum stress has been recently described as a novel mechanism involved in the genesis of atherosclerosis. Here we show that statins, class drug widely employed clinical management hypercholesterolemia, reduces lipid-induced macrophage an isolated cell system and LDL receptor knockout mice. Given importance inducer inflammation, suspect action herein for statins may play major role on its beneficial effects prevention cardiovascular disease.
