摘要: Cathepsin D (CTSD, EC 3.4.23.5) belongs to aspartic protease family, which is located in lysosomes and distributed diverse tissues cells. CTSD has a wide variety of physiological functions, owing its proteolytic activity degradating proteins peptides. In the current study, full length cDNA sea cucumber (Apostichopus japonicus) cathepsin (AjCTSD) was firstly cloned, then association between AjCTSD autolysis investigated. The 2896 bp, with an open reading frame (ORF) for 391 amino acids. widely expressed body wall, muscle intestine; expression level highest intestine, followed by wall. Compared fresh tissues, levels were significantly increased all examined autolytic tissues. purified recombinant promoted degradation muscle. conclusion, contributed autolysis.
