摘要: Ecopath with Ecosim 5.1 software was used to formulate a reasonable model of the trophic interactions within zooplankton community in Discovery Bay, Jamaica W.I. The were separated into functional groups and, for each group, required input at least four basic parameters as well diet composition consumer group. These included: biomass; production/biomass ratio; consumption/biomass ratio and ecotrophic efficiency. generated indicated that, respect community, Bay is developing ecosystem which would not be particularly resistant perturbations. It therefore unable easily recover from significant stresses (eutrophication; increased fishing efforts etc.) imposed on ecosystem, indicating need both short-term long-term management strategies based level use (or planned usage) bay.
