摘要: This study evaluated the potential mechanism(s) by which leptin treatment inhibits loss of muscle mass with fasting. Cultures C2C12 myoblasts were differentiated into myotubes 5% (vol/vol) horse serum in Dulbecco's modified Eagle's medium/F12. These used to assess 3H-tyrosine incorporation and release following incubation recombinant porcine (0 500 ng/mL). Protein synthesis myotubes, as measured incorporation, was not affected (P > 0.05). breakdown release, inhibited treatment. A concentration 0.5 ng/mL sufficient inhibit 3.5% 0.05) on palmitate metabolism. Chronic exposure resulted up a 26% increase oxidation < The stimulation fatty acid chronic suggests that spares other energy sources from during periods leptin-induced decrease feed intake.
