The Reliability and Validity of two Objective Measures of Achievement Motivation for Adolescent Females

摘要: Two measures of motive to succeed were revised for administration female ninth grade students (N = 71). Scores on Hermans' (1970) Prestatie Motivatie Test (PMT) yielded a high degree internal consistency, comparable that obtained with males, which was greater than found scores the present version Mehrabian's (1969) Resultant Achievement Motivation (RAM) Test. In separate validation analyses, PMT observed correlate positively and substantially each two school achievement questionnaire data school-related attitudes behavior. Although correlations RAM in same direction, they weaker those scores. The relationships between various causal ascriptions different low instruments.
