摘要: BACKGROUND AND AIMS. One of the greatest challenges confronting physicians who are managing care patients with heart failure is to acquire objective data that signals treatment effectiveness and/or disease progression. The aim this study was twofold: 1) determine extent which (real time) impedance cardiography measurements obtained a specific medical device (the BioZ) were reproducible in outpatients clinically stable failure; and 2) establish "normal" ranges one week hemodynamic variability population patients. Information nature would help clinical cardiologists primary practitioners evaluate implications their patient's visit-to-visit variability. METHODS. A group, prospective, time series design used. sample consisted 62 had being treated an outpatient clinic at university center. BioZ measures cardiac output, contractility, after load five points time: two, 10, 60 minutes resting following 40-50 foot walk on first day two 10 second day, later. RESULTS. Small but significant changes output index (mainly due rate) seen during 60-minute period one. Stroke did not change period. In general, reproducibility between taken same days quite good. Establishment 95% confidence intervals helped define boundaries population. Further evaluation four whose values exceeded revealed unexpected, potentially relevant could have accounted for interday Conclusion. responsive activity-rest interval clinic. better measure patient status than or index.
