摘要: A phosphorus/silicon flame retardant, MVC-DOPO, was synthesized from 9,10-dihydro-9-oxa-10-phosphaphenanthrene-10-oxide (DOPO) and 2,4,6,8-tetra-methyl-2,4,6,8-tetra-vinyl-cyclo-tetrasiloxane (MVC) via addition reaction. Its flame-retardant effect on polycarbonate (PC) investigated. The retardant increased the limited oxygen index UL-94 rating reduced heat release rate total of DOPO-MVC/PC composites during combustion, indicating excellent MVC-DOPO PC. inhibited burning intensity PC material in gaseous phase promoted formation a more viscous residue condensed phase. Through releasing phosphorus-containing pieces phenoxy radicals phosphaphenanthrene group, quenched combustion chain reaction phase; through promoting dense char layer main actions cyclotetrasiloxane fuel generated barrier Hence, effectively exerted both phases combustion. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
