摘要: Abnormal mammary enlargement, characterized microscopically by hyperplasia of both epithelial and mesenchymal tissues, was studied in 26 cats which were mostly young, sexually intact females. Clinicopathologic data indicated that hypertrophy likely progesterone-dependent. Administration progestins preceded this condition 5 cats, 4 neutered. Serum progesterone concentrations (6.7 ng/ml) increased 1 the 3 tested. Estrogen receptors not found cytosols or nuclei tissues 2 studied. However, there convincing 4S [3H]progesterone 5S [3H]R5020 binding peaks suppressible nonlabeled progestins. Progesterone measured at 14.9 8.6 fm/mg protein, respectively. The apparent influence progesterone, whether present as exogenous therapy male female endogenous steroid ovarian origin, has thus been demonstrated directly indirectly with hypertrophy.
