Enhanced capabilities of IRS P6 LISS IV sensor for urban mapping

摘要: In this study, an attempt has been made to evaluate the information content available in IRS P6 LISS IV data for identification of urban features and u rban mapping. Level-III land use classification at scale 1 : 10,000 was successfully attempted Dehradun city its environs. A qual itative quantitative evaluation also done with PAN-sharpened III data. The boundaries polygon features, road intersections, contrast surroundings are more precise on comparison merged It is found that 100% linear can be e xtracted compared product.
