摘要: OBJECTIVE--To evaluate clinical outcome after percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) or artery bypass grafting (CABG) in patients of 75 older who underwent either procedure between 1980 and 1987. SUBJECTS--93 aged 75-89 with angina pectoris class III-IV (Canadian Cardiovascular Society) PTCA 81 75-84 CABG. Follow up was 8.2 years the group 8.3 CABG group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES--In-hospital complications survival at follow up. RESULTS--Primary success rate for 84% (78/93). Two died, two had emergency CABG, three a myocardial infarction, one cerebrovascular accident. failed seven (five elective were treated conservatively). Median hospital stay 4.3 days. Primary 63% (53/81). Six accident, eight 10 rethoracotomy, four adult respiratory distress syndrome. 14.2 In during non-fatal repeat PTCA, recurrence angina. Sixty free (69%). six Fifty AP (70%). Actuarial 92% 91% CONCLUSIONS--PTCA is safe elderly patients. The complication lower significantly shorter compared (p < 0.05). Long-term showed no significant difference
