Development of blue excitable persistent phosphor of Ce3+-doped garnet ceramics by bandgap engineering and metal-sensitization

摘要: We investigated the blue excitable persistent luminescence properties in Ce 3+ -doped garnet ceramics with composition of Y 3 Al 5-x Ga x O 12 :Ce (x=0, 1, 2, 3, 3.5, 4). The was observed sample x=3 and 3.5 by excitation. In these materials, energy gap between lowest 5d 1 excited level conduction band is much closer compared x=0, 2 samples. As a result, efficient electron transfer to trap occurs through excitation thermoluminescence (TL) all samples UV TL peaks were shifted lower increasing content. decreases threshold photoionization depth content can be caused lowering band. Therefore, we demonstrated that properties, such as storagetable wavelength decay profile, are controlled changing also discovered intensity duration time improved co-doping metal ions.
