STACHYS LAVANDULIFOLIA VAHL. AND ITS RELATION WITH MARMAZAD ACTIVITIES IN TRADITIONAL MANUSCRIPTS

摘要: Context: In modern phytotherapy, Stachys lavandulifolia Vahl., a type of also known as Mountain Tea (Chay-e-Kouhi) has been widely studied based on its botanical and therapeutic characteristics over the recent decades. Evidence Acquisition: The present study investigated morphology, characteristics, some activities this plant compares them with those Marmazad, traditional equivalent in iranian medicine (TIM), to evaluate similarities between Marmazad. Results: by exploring properties from botany Marmazad TIM, comparing considering outcome was drawn that what had TIM nowadays is equal or Chay-e-Kouhi botany. Conclusions: achieved findings comparison researches referring manuscripts revealed significant them. Also, there were applications mentioned for which could help new researchers phytotherapy deal dimensions herb are not worked out yet. © 2015, Iranian Red Crescent Medical Journal.
