Guidelines to design models assessing agricultural sustainability, based upon feedbacks from the DEXi decision support system

摘要: New agricultural systems are required to satisfy societal expectations such as higher quantity and quality of products, reducing environmental impacts, more jobs. However, identifying implementing suitable is difficult due conflicting objectives the wide diversity scientific disciplines solve issues. Therefore, designing models assess sustainability requires multi-criteria decision aid methods. The French agronomist community has recently developed 11 hierarchical qualitative using DEXi software. Here, we give guidelines help designers build their own specific models. First, present principles applications Then, provide guidance on following steps model designing: (1) initial analysis planning design process, (2) selection hierarchy criteria, (3) indicator building, (4) parameterization, (5) evaluation, (6) dissemination uses. We then discuss advantages drawbacks this kind modeling formalism, role a participatory approach, main properties consider during process.
