摘要: Rupture of the spleen without apparent cause is a relatively unusual condition, only few cases having been reported prior to this time. The following case presented as spontaneous rupture spleen; however, we feel that in instance predisposing conditions can be adequately explained. REPORT OF A CASE 42-year-old white woman was admitted on medical service Vanderbilt University Hospital March 15, 1954, seven hours after sudden onset severe left upper abdominal pain with associated tenderness. intermittent, gradually increasing intensity, and described cramping character. There had similar episode 10 days admission, but subsided spontaneously four or five hours. patient's past history not remarkable except for fact over period two one-half years she repeated episodes
