A longitudinal study of aspects of a hospital's family-centred nursing: Changing practice through data translation

摘要: Aims To examine how results and data from multiple Family Centred Nursing Index surveys help the development of family-centred nursing at organizational ward levels. Design A critical analysis survey data. Background The provides a valid reliable assessment aspects nursing, through comprehensive traditional indicators practice broader range practice. Methods A with 113 questions, each to be answered on 7-point Likert scale conducted six times in last 7 years. Surveys have been 2006, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011/2012 2012/2013. All nurses employed by organization can participate. Results These are reported as means across 19 constructs linked five key domains their significance is examined year (in clinical settings) compared against (whole population) averages. Ongoing nurses' views work providing valuable source developmental data. The show unexpected associations between e.g. – high level stress does not correlate lower job satisfaction (and vice versa). A clear historical picture many elements developing care emerging both individual-ward levels. Conclusion This study insights into wards working environment for these interact ways. It appropriate information organizations teams relation towards cultures.
