摘要: This paper reports on a systematic study of hydrogen oxidation in the presence different materials, ranging from quartz to carbon steel. The reactivity tests conducted at low concentration revealed significant promotion reaction by steel temperature range (300-400 °C) where gas phase reactions occur limited extent. effect is strongly enhanced surface modifications induced acid corrosion. Stainless surfaces behaved quite differently under similar conditions, showing rather an inhibiting role H 2 oxidation. physicochemical characterization samples before and after treatment that area undergoes strong increase due corrosion, also structure modified with enrichment trace metal components, which can exert catalytic role. potential risk represented properties these widely used materials mitigated value heat combustion per unit volume; composition below lower flammability limit, weak thermal effects were fact observed infrared measurements temperature. However, using simplified kinetic expression, it be estimated when hydrogen-rich mixtures come into contact overheated surface, exothermic generate dangerous hot spots.
