摘要: For future deep-space missions, signiflcant reductions in the mass and power requirements for short-range telecommunication systems will be critical enabling a wide variety of new mission concepts. These possibilities include penetrators, gliders, miniature rovers, balloons, sensor networks. The recent development activity reported this article has focused on design ultra-low-mass -power transceiver subsystems suitable operation ∞ight environment. Under these efiorts, basic functionality been targeted towards Mars microprobe communications scenario. However, overall architecture is well suited to any short- or medium-range application where remote probe aperiodically communicate with base station, possibly an orbiter, eventual purpose relaying science information back Earth. Additionally, elements radio can applied situations involving surface-to-surface communications, thereby difierent topologies. Through system analysis channels, both applicability beneflt very low quantitatively addressed.
