摘要: This paper presents a practical and low-cost approach to estimate the maximum achievable wireless link bandwidth based on prevailing conditions in an IEEE 802.11 network. works by observing number of bits successfully delivered over link, divided corresponding channel occupancy time. The method is passive does not introduce any extra overhead channel, timing model MAC layer. All required parameters are obtained locally at sending node from We evaluate accuracy proposed via full implementation experiments our conducted testbed, which provides more controlled environment increased repeatability experiments, compared over-the-air testbeds. experiment results show that can accurately with both saturated low traffic load across links different transmission rates qualities.
