摘要: Little is known about survival and prognostic factors in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) due to biomass smoke exposure (BS-COPD). (1) To determine the value of two indices COPD severity: BODEx (body mass index, obstruction, dyspnea, previous severe exacerbations) Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) categories system (ABCD) predict all-cause mortality BS-COPD, compared with tobacco (T-COPD); (2) verify usefulness 2 comorbidity indices, Charlson index COTE (COPD index); (3) put side by these indices. 612 consecutive patients were retrospectively studied. Prognostic evaluated taking into account or smoke. The relative predictive values using receiver-operating characteristic analysis. Mortality BS-COPD T-COPD groups was not significantly different, when sex taken account. BODEx, indices—but type exposure—predicted multivariate C-statistic different than that GOLD ABCD but higher T-COPD. discriminatory no significant differences found Multidimensional severity BS-COPD. behavior
