摘要: We present a novel tomographer for three-dimensional reconstructions of fluorochromes in diffuse media. Photon detection is based on charge-coupled device technology that allows the implementation large parallel array channels with high sensitivity. Using this instrument we studied response and limits near-infrared media as function light intensity wide range biologically relevant concentrations. further examined resolution scanner reconstruction linearity achieved. demonstrate attains better than 3 mm resolution, linear within more two orders magnitude fluorochrome concentration, can detect fluorescent objects at femto-mole quantities small animal-like geometries. These measurements delineate reconstructioncharacteristics associated imaging classes probes developed vivo molecular functional probing tissues.
