摘要: NMRI mice immunosuppressed with dexamethasone followed by challenge intraesophageally axenic Giardia lamblia (Portland I) trophozoites had severe infection in terms of the trophozoite counts jejunum. Although immunosuppressive treatment cortisone itself resulted a deleterious effect on brush border membrane enzymes, decline disaccharidases (sucrase, maltase, and lactase) alkaline phosphatase was highly significant (P<0.001) following G. infection. The alterations enzymatic activity immune intact but infected animals demonstrated potential parasite to cause damage membrane. We believe that individuals underlying immunodeficiency, upon lamblia, may have increased membrane, leading malabsorption.
