摘要: Abstract: Residential water demand is a function of several factors, some which are within the control utilities (e.g., price, restrictions, rebate programs) and not climate weather, demographic characteristics). In this study Aurora, Colorado, factors influencing residential reviewed during turbulent drought period (2000-2005). Findings expand understanding in at least three salient ways: first, by documenting that pricing outdoor restriction policies interact with each other ensuring total savings additive program operating independently; second, showing effectiveness restrictions varies among different classes customers (i.e., low, middle, high volume users) between predrought periods; third, demonstrating real-time information about consumptive use (via Water Smart Reader) helps reach water-use targets.
