摘要: Abstract Urethral stricture is the most common complication of transurethral resection prostate, occurring in up to 29 per cent cases. A prospective trial was initiated ascertain if presence positive urine and urethral bacterial cultures made any significant difference incidence. One hundred patients were entered trial, 50 receiving latex catheters Teflon catheters. There no between two groups incidence stricture, there correlation formation. It suggested, therefore, that catheter material size organisms urethra do not contribute significantly formation following prostate.
