摘要: Abstract Particulate matter (PM) is widely recorded as a source of diseases, being more harmful those particles with smaller size. PM released to the environment consequence different activities, one them cement production. The objective this pilot study was characterize sizes around facilities have preliminary approach their origin, and evaluate potential health risks. For that purpose, three fractions (10, 2.5, 1) were collected in nearby area two plants backgrounds (urban rural) seasons. Subsequently, main components, outdoor indoor concentrations, exposure, human risks assessed. Greatest levels 1 , organic matter, metals found urban location, especially winter. Consequently, environmental exposure registered highest values plant during wintertime. Exposure higher for expressing some peak fraction. Non-carcinogenic below safety threshold (HQ −5 except Cr (VI), which exceeded it both locations, but range considered assumable (10 −6 –10 −4 ).
