摘要: Abstract The objective of the study was to assess impact fugitive particulate emissions from a cement plant on nearby community. High volume samplers were used for determinations total suspended (TSP) concentrations at representative assessment points situated nearest site three existing residential houses. Furthermore, dust arising houses predicted using an air quality model (fugitive model, FDM). emission rates various activities estimated by factors technique. measured (high sampler) and (FDM) values concentration compared. results showed that agreement between 24-h average excellent. Although under-predicted slightly concentrations, yet FDM adequate application plant. spatial isopleths TSP its surrounding environment indicated ground level close plant, exceeded World Health Organization (WHO) guideline value 120 μg/m3. This invaluable locating areas are risk approaching or exceeding concentrations.
