摘要: Abstract Background Rheumatoid arthritis is a widely prevalent autoimmune disorder with suggested genetic predisposition. Objectives The aim of this study to detect the pattern polymorphism methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase (MTHFR C677 T and A1298 C), transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1 T869 C) lymphotoxin-α (LT-α A252G) in patients having rheumatoid correlate these patterns disease activity serum levels tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), B-Cell Activating Factor (BAFF), osteopontin. Methods A total 194 subjects, 90 controls 104 were genotyped for MTHFR C, TGF-β1 C LT-α A252G polymorphisms using methodology based on PCR-RFLP. Also TNF-α, osteopontin BAFF measured by ELISA kits. Results CT genotype allele GG G are associated risk RA higher pro-inflammatory cytokine, TNF-α arthritis. Conclusion Our findings suggest that there association between genes increased sample Egyptian population.
