摘要: A simple nearly neutral mutation model of protein evolution was studied using computer simulation assuming a constant population size. In this model, gene consists finite number codons and there is no recombination within gene. Each codon has two replacement one silent sites. The fitness determined multiplicatively by amino acids specified (the independent multicodon model). Nucleotide diversity at sites decreases as selection becomes stronger. reduction nucleotide also occurs intensifies but the magnitude not monotone function intensity selection. dispersion index close to one. average value Tajima's Fu Li's statistics are negative their absolute values increases intensifies. However, powers detecting under present were high unless large or rate high. MK test shown detect intermediate fairly well. For comparison, house-of-cards investigated its behavior be more sensitive changes size than that model. relevance for explaining discussed comparing prediction recent DNA data.
