摘要: Abstract A model for tensile twinning during the compression of rod textured magnesium is developed based on idea that these twins nucleate at grain boundaries and when twin number density per low readily give rise to formation other ‘interaction’ in adjacent grains. Experimental observations aspect ratios measured a single size densities over four sizes were used determine material parameters. Using these, provides reasonable predictions observed magnitudes trends following observations: 1) Effect stress volume fraction, fractional length fraction contact. 2) yield stress. 3) general shape stress-strain curve strains. parametric study shows be quite robust but it particularly sensitive value exponent assumed nucleation rate law. It seen preventing interaction an important avenue hardening flow also relaxation back stresses. The importance taking microstructure into account modelling twinning.
