摘要: Climate change may affect the frequency, intensity, and geographic distribution of severe coastal storms. Concurrent sea-level rise would raise baseline flooding during such events. Meanwhile, social vulnerability factors as poverty disability hinder ability to cope with storms storm damage. While physical changes are likely remain scientifically uncertain into foreseeable future, mitigate potential impacts from be fostered by better understanding interplay that produce human vulnerability. This study does so integrating classic causal model hazards social, environmental, spatial dynamics lead differential people hazards. It uses Census data, factor analysis, data envelopment floodplain maps understand compound residents in city Revere, MA, USA.
