摘要: A nonlinear elastic string is considered here as a main structure to be passively controlled using Nonlinear Energy Sink (NES). The internally nonresonant due point mass and an spring applied at free tip, distributed force with harmonic time-law assumed. Multiple Scale/Harmonic Balance method, already introduced for finite degree of freedom systems, extended in direct approach, being the partial differential equations ruling dynamics system. Amplitude modulation are obtained discussion some solutions, where beneficial effect NES evident, made.
