First report of subcutaneous phaeohyphomycosis of the foot caused by Phoma minutella.

摘要: Phoma minutella, a dematiaceous hyphomycete, was isolated to the exclusion of all other fungi from subcutaneous inflammatory process on foot farmer undergoing corticosteroid therapy for myasthenia gravis. Isolation achieved several nutrient media. Examination stained smears and sections revealed fungal elements consistent with mold. This is first reported association P. minutella human infection only second case involving sp. as etiologic agent infection.
